Hitler's "drug tester" who lived to be 95 years old

In the winter of 2013, a German journalist received an assignment to interview a 95-year-old man. He came to the old man's residence, which was an old building without an elevator. The name of the old man being interviewed was Margot Volker, who was born in 1918.

When she was 23 years old, her hometown was destroyed by the war, so Margot Walker had to flee and find a new place to live. What she didn't expect was that she would fall into the hands of the evil Hitler after she escaped. She was forced by Hitler to work as a drug testing agent, and she was subjected to inhumane abuse. Finally, after more than 60 years, Margot Walker revealed the dark past.

Just out of the tiger's den and then into the wolf's den

In 1941, Margot Volker was only 23 years old, the best of her youth, but she had to flee for her life. After fleeing from her hometown of Berlin, Margot Volker arrived at a relative's home in Poland, where her family was financially well off and thought they would have a stable life, but fate again played tricks on Margot Volker. The relative's house was close to Hitler's garrison, and Margot Volker was a young girl at the time, so she was not easily let go by the Germans.

She was not able to escape from the Germans and was taken to Hitler's residence to become his drug testing agent. Hitler was a very cruel man, he knew he had done a lot of bad things, there must be a lot of people who deliberately retaliated, so the behavior is careful. The company has a lot of people who are interested in the company's products and services. To avoid being poisoned, Hitler asked 15 people to test the poison for his meals, and Margot Volker was one of them.

She was controlled by the German army and did not even have basic personal freedom. She woke up at a fixed time every day and went to the barracks, where someone would present the food and they would have to test every dish. Since Hitler was a vegetarian, their daily meals were monotonous, consisting of fruits and vegetables. When they try to eat an hour after there is no abnormal reaction, Hitler will eat. For Margot Volker, it was a very difficult time, because she had to worry about her life every day.

Margot Volker's life was also very boring, except for the time when they would be released from the food tasting, the rest of the time they were all controlled and lived in isolation every day. Such a life lasted for two years. Some people may have found the job easy, but for Margot Volker, it was extremely difficult. Hitler had special cooks who were highly skilled, but in Margot Volker's eyes, these meals had no taste at all, and for her, they could have killed her at any time.

A life of nine deaths and torture

Hitler's residence was not a safe place, and Margot Volker experienced an assassination herself. An admiral next to Hitler wanted to kill him, so he detonated a bomb, but to his surprise, the bomb did not kill Hitler, he only suffered a few superficial wounds. But Margot Volker was frightened because the bomb was so powerful that it almost killed all fifteen of them.

In addition to the restrictions on her freedom, Margot Walker also suffered great physical torture. She was in her prime, so some German officers saw her and became suspicious, and one night an officer burst in and raped her. Margot Volker felt so desperate that she cried out for help but no one came to her aid. She waited until the Germans failed and Hitler's lair was discovered. But the Soviet Red Army came in and killed them without a word, killing all but Margot Volker, who survived.

In 1946, Margot Walker finally regained her freedom and, more, fortunately, was reunited with her husband. She had been worrying about her husband since he went to war, but now she could finally put her mind at ease. In order not to worry her husband, Margot Walker hid her experiences in the past few years and did not tell him that she had been taken as a drug testing agent. They worked together for thirty-four years, and then Margot Walker's husband died of an illness, leaving her alone again.

A painful memory

Margot Walker chose to keep this past buried in her heart, trying desperately to forget it and live a normal life. But the memory always lingers in her mind, and even after decades, she still recalls it in her dreams. At the age of 95, Margot Walker decided to tell her story because she felt she had come to the end of her life, and if she didn't tell the secret, it would be lost and no one would speak up for the 14 sisters who died in her tragic death.

In the end, Margot Walker contacted the media herself, so there was the scene of the initial press interview. The reason why Margot Walker dares to face the story again is that she has slowly let go of it. She feels that she is the only surviving witness of the story, and if she chooses to keep her mouth shut, then the 14 people who died were wronged. They were persecuted by Hitler, and eventually died by his hand, and in the end, there was no one to do them justice.

After Margot Volker came forward, it gave people a better understanding of what Hitler did back then, and expressed their sadness for what happened to Margot Volker and the 14 girls. They were the most ordinary people who did not do anything to harm others, but in the end, they had to be drawn into the whirlpool of war and suffer endlessly, which is saddening.
